SUMMER SCHOOL IS COMING JUNE 1

Summer School for the '09 Summer will begin June 1 and conclude June 26 for the regular session. It begins at 8AM and concludes at 2:30PM Monday
through Friday during this time frame. Breakfast is served from 7:30-8 daily as is lunch during the time periods appropriate as assigned for the
grade levels. All meals are free of charge so long as the Federal Government program continues to fund this as we are told it will.
Students may attend Summer School '09 for enrichment purposes as well as students that may be mandatory. Enjoyable field trips to the Dexter Pool
as well as attendance prizes are offered as incentives for kids to attend. Students in enrichment classes will be doing a variety of hands on
projects including "learning by doing" of some various community projects to which core academics can be applied. HS students may also attend
Summer School PE classes to obtain credits for HS to allow them more freedom with scheduling in the future. Mandatory academic attendance
students will be involved in an intensive core academic focus in their area(s) of weakness for either HS credit or grade level promotion. Bus
transportation is provided from designated pick up points in the district. Driver's Education will also be offered in July with dates and times
announced soon. If you have any questions, please feel free to call 568-4283.
